Way from Punta Sabbioni to Bacino di San Marco

Hi,

as a rowing club with classic English rowing boats, we’re taking part in the Vogalonga this year.

Although I’ve been there many times before, this time we’re setting off from Punta Sabbioni. Can any of you tell me the best route to take in a rowing boat if you want to head to the start at the Bacino di San Marco in the morning and return in the evening? In other words, should you take the route out to sea via the Lido down below or past San Erasmo up above?
